Wow, it's been awhile since I updated this. YIKES!

I actually haven't been to active on DA as of late. My fall semester wreaked havoc on my creativity, and as of recently I've just started to doodle on my notes again. (If I can't doodle, it means I basically have nothing creative going on in my brain. I'm weird, don't ask. )

So what have I been up to?

I learned how to ride a motorcycle, and I tried my hand at Interior Design classes. The ID classes didn't work out. I would put a ton of work into a project to be told that it sucked, and be given an F. Then I'd give up and slap a project together just to have it done, and get an A. The work I was proud of was a failure, and the work I didn't care about was good? I'm sorry, I hardly believe that would be true. But seeing as the teachers would consistently grade me that way, I decided that I couldn't continue on with that. So I've decided to do more of a focus on photography, because I absolutely love it. I would have a camera surgically attached to my arm if I could. Okay, maybe not literally, but if I ever lose a hand...We'll have to talk about that.

So my dad helped me get the money together to buy a Sony A200, and I've been playing around with it. Most of the pictures I'll be putting up in the near future will be the ones that need only minor altering, such as contrast adjustment, and I'll have some more heavily altered ones later, once I get my practice back up on PhotoShop. I also have some photos I need to scan into a computer to post, and I'll get those up as soon as I can steal some time on a scanner.

I'm hoping to get more time to invest in my photography, and I'm working on building a studio in my apartment, so once I get that up and running I'll have more portraiture. Hopefully this summer I can get some time and money for that, but I'm starting to work full time at my current place of employment, as a closer, and so I'll have to work things around that.

But anyway, I digress.

It's 1 am here, and I'm supposed to be up by 8 to shower and go to Easter brunch. Then I have to shoot my own family portrait. (Thank you, whoever invented the camera timer!)

I'll update this when I have more to say. And it won't be almost a year from now, I promise!

P.S. I have a new hard drive in my little laptop, and all seems to be working well, but I'm backing things up now too.
